Effective 21 September 2026

International Musicians League ("IML", "we", "us") runs a platform that books live bands for weddings and private events. This policy explains what personal information we hold, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers our websites and our two apps, on iPhone and on Android: IML Gigs, used by musicians who play our gigs, and AstroPilot, used by the producers who plan them.

Who the apps are for

Both apps are for people who already work with IML. You cannot create an account in the apps. A musician or producer signs in with the mobile number that is already on our roster and a one-time code sent by text message. If your number is not on our roster, the apps will not let you in.

What we collect

Where you are, if you choose to show it. IML Gigs can show the musicians on a gig where their bandmates are on the day. It is off until you switch it on: you decide whether to share, which gig to share on, and when it stops. While it is on we hold your precise location and show it to the other musicians booked on that gig, and you can turn it off at any moment. We never collect it in the background, we never collect it at all in AstroPilot, and nobody can put you on the map but you.

We do not collect your contacts or your browsing activity in other apps. When you tap a venue address, the app hands it to the maps app you choose; we do not receive your position.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who can see it

Your name, instrument and the messages you send on an event are visible to the other people working that event: its producer, the other musicians in the band, and, in the client chat, the client. Your mobile number and email address are visible to IML producers, and your mobile number to bandmates on the same gig so they can reach you on the day. We share information with service providers only as needed to run the platform: our hosting provider, our text-message and email delivery providers, and Apple and Google for push notifications. They may use it only to provide those services to us.

We disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person or the security of the service.

How long we keep it

Gig records, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as we are required to keep business and tax records. Chat messages are kept for the life of the event and its records so that everyone on it can refer back to them. Push tokens are deleted when you sign out or uninstall the app. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information we hold about you; we will do so unless we must keep specific records by law, in which case we will tell you what we keep and why.

Your choices and rights

Delete your data

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information we hold about you. There are two steps and no form to find:

Two things we keep, and why. Gig records, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records. And a message you sent into a gig conversation stays readable to the others on that gig, with your name removed, because it is part of that event's record; if you want something specific taken down, tell us which message and we will remove it.

Children

Our services are for working adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

All traffic between the apps, our websites and our servers is encrypted. Sign-in codes expire within minutes and can be used once. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell you in the apps or by email.
